ISLAND INTERLUDES

Island Interludes is series of plays featuring local directors, actors and writers. These fully staged readings featured seven short plays performed over two weekends. The first weekend focused on four playwrights from Martha's Vineyard. The plays were Adoption by Jon Greene, Closure by Trudy Russell, Coming Home by Kate Hancock, and Five, Seven, Five by Brian Ditchfield. The second weekend featured Cape Cod playwright Maureen Hourihan. Her trilogy of short plays Slow Train Coming, were her sweet tribute to her father who had Alzheimers.

ADOPTION

Written and Directed by Jon Greene.
Starring Christopher Kann and Brian Ditchfield.

A ten minute play about the moment when the adoption letter comes for two fathers who have waited for too long.

CLOSURE
By Trudy Russell. Directed by MJ Bruder Munafo.
Starring Jill Macy, Paul Munafo, Mara Ditchfield, and Christopher Kann.
The secrets come pouring out of this seemingly quiet 1950's family in this dramatic one act play.

COMING HOME
Written and Directed by Kate Hancock.
Starring Nancy Luedeman and Jill Macy.

Based on a serman titled God is a Woman and She's Getting Old, this one-act play explores family and what it means to grow old in these modern times.

FIVE, SEVEN, FIVE
Written and Directed by Brian Ditchfield.
Starring Brooke Hardman, Jon Greene and Jill Macy.

A love story amid a woman's delusions that she is on a stage and that an audience is always is always watching her.

SLOW TRAIN COMING
By Maureen Hourihan. Directed by MJ Bruder Munafo.
Starring Bee Bee Horowitz, Clark Maffit, Paul Munafo and Sheryl Dagostino.

A trilogy of short plays which are a daughter's tribute to her father who had Alzheimer's.
